That’s a Wrap! NADCA 31st Annual Meeting and Exposition was a Success!

Posted on 03/30/2020

NADCA’s Annual Meeting wrapped up in Coronado, California on March 11, with a record number of attendees for a West Coast event. Held at the beautiful Loews Coronado Bay Resort, the event kicked off with a golf outing at the breathtaking Coronado Golf Course. With 13 sessions and 12 influential and inspiring presenters over three days, it was an event to remember.

Despite the cloud of uncertainty hovering around the COVID-19 pandemic, spirits were high with attendees. Everyone was excited to be in sunny California, and focused intently on networking and growing their businesses.

For those not on the golf course, day one was all about Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) and Certified Ventilation Inspector (CVI) training, followed by the grand opening of the exhibit hall and welcome reception in the evening.

The three-day agenda was packed full of testing, training, and informational/educational sessions, with attendees buzzing about Cliff Budnick’s “Do You Give a Duct about Growing your Business?” and Rick MacDonald’s “Get that ASH Out of the Ducts: Cleaning Air Ducts After a Fire” sessions.

On the association business side, NADCA held elections for its Board of Directors during the event. Long-time board member, Mark Zarzeczny, was newly elected President of NADCA’s Board of Directors. Also elected were April Yungen, 1st Vice President; Richard Lantz, 2nd Vice President; Jim Castellano, Treasurer; and Mike Dexter, Secretary. NADCA also welcomed Hugo Hernandez and Paul Keller, Jr. as its newest members of the Board. Hernandez and Keller will join a team of esteemed members on NADCA’s Board of Directors. CLICK HERE to learn more about NADCA’s Board of Directors.

Perhaps most memorable of all was NADCA’s member party aboard the historic USS Midway, the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th century. Attendees had full access to the flight deck and museum. With live entertainment from Republic of Music, a high-energy dance band that played all the favorite party songs from just about every decade imaginable, there was lots of eating, drinking, and mingling. Old friends reminisced, and new friendships were forged.
