Call for Member Mentors! NADCA is seeking current NADCA members in good standing, who are willing to serve as Mentors to new members. This is an opportunity for you to strengthen the Association and make new contacts in the process. As an added benefit to new members, NADCA has established the Mentor Program. New members will be welcomed by their Regional Coordinator, then assigned to a mentor. The program helps new members build professional relationships with other NADCA members. Our goal is to help new members network with individuals who are already established and know the ropes. The Mentor Program strives to support those new to the industry and the Association by reducing the learning curve and teaching members what it takes to run a viable business. Mentors will make an initial call to introduce themselves and become acquainted with the new member. After that, Mentors are asked to make a couple of calls a year one in the winter, and one in the summer. Part of the process is making sure new members learn about NADCA standards and events, directly from other members. The responsibilities of a mentor are few, but come with great reward. Too often, new members join and leave within the year because they simply lack the knowledge of how to survive in this competitive marketplace. Mentors have the opportunity to share their wisdom gained in the school of hard-knocks while establishing a large network of contacts through-out the country and the world.
