Supplemental Membership

NADCA Supplemental Membership

NADCA Supplemental Membership is available to Regular Member companies with more than one physical location. Each location is required to have an ASCS on staff.

    Yes, International Supplemental Members are required to have certified staff. 

  • NADCA Supplemental member companies who fulfill all requirements of membership have the right to use the NADCA logo in advertising and promotional materials The rules and regulations regarding proper use of the NADCA logo are located in the Members Area of the Web site. You will receive the login and password to the Members Area once all membership requirements are fulfilled. 

  • Each Supplemental Member company must have at least one full-time Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certified technician on staff. 

  • Supplemental Membership requirements must be met within six months of application submission. Companies which have not fulfilled their membership requirements in 6 months from the time of application will forfeit their application fees and dues.

    NADCA membership does not require a license for HVAC cleaning, however, we strongly recommend that you contact your state licensing agency to learn what licenses if any are required so you are compliant with your state’s requirements. Following are some states which do require an HVAC contractor’s license, mechanical contractor’s license, sheet metal license, or other specialty license in order for a firm to access and clean HVAC systems.

  • Supplemental Membership companies must have at least one full-time Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certified technician on staff and at least $500,000.00 in general liability insurance. NADCA asks that it be named a certificate holder with your insurance company.

  • Supplemental Membership dues are charged on an annual basis at the cost of $250.00 per year and are non-refundable. Dues are payable by July 1, of every year. When a company first joins NADCA, dues for the first full year (July 1 through the following June 30) are prorated based upon when membership began. Companies which have not fulfilled their membership requirements in 12 months from the time of application will forfeit their application fees and dues.

    The ASCS exam must be taken in person if any of the following applies to the applicant: the applicant is taking an ASCS exam for the first time; the applicant has taken the exam but has never received a passing score; the applicant received an ASCS in the past, but did not renew on time.

    There are two options for taking the ASCS certification examination:

    1. Prep. class and examination are offered at NADCA’s Technical Conference and the Annual Meeting.
       
    2. Examinations are offered at a time and location convenient for you, at testing centers throughout the world. The exam is scheduled at www.nadcatesting.com, but taken at a testing center; in the top right-hand corner, click “Create an Account.” The account must be created in the name of the person who will be taking the test.
