Can anyone be CVI certified?
Yes, you do not have to be a NADCA member to be certified. However, members of NADCA receive a discounted rate for training, the exam fees, and renewal.

What are the prerequisites for taking the CVI certification examination?
There are no prerequisites for taking the examination. It is recommended that candidates have an understanding of HVAC systems before sitting for the exam.

Do I have to attend the class in order to take the examination?
No, attendance at the CVI Training or Basics of HVAC Cleaning courses is not required, though they may be very helpful to those as yet unfamiliar with the HVAC cleaning industry.

How can I prepare for the CVI certification examination?
Attending the CVI Training course is recommended. NADCA also offers the Basics of HVAC Cleaning course. You may also order the HVAC Inspection Manual and CD.
