Certification Renewal
Renewal of Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification is required every year. To qualify for renewal, ASCS technicians must accrue six (6) continuing education credits (CECs). CVI certified individuals are required to renew every three years, and VSMR certified individuals are automatically renewed when their ASCS certification is renewed.

CECs for ASCS certification may be obtained through a variety of means:

• Attend NADCA seminars and conventions
• Attend other HVAC industry association's seminars.

There is an annual maintenance fee associated with certification renewal ($75.00 for members, $775 for non-members).

Note: Individuals who do not accrue sufficient continuing education credits prior to their renewal date are required to re-take the examination at the regular fees.
